Inspired by generative music, this Ambient piece started with a roll of six Musicians Dice. I got G F G F D B. Adding the 3rds, 5ths and 9ths, I used these chords for the base of this track.
My inclination is to keep it musical, especially at key points, so although there is a sense of uncertain randomness throughout the track, there is also a sense of musical order.
The end result is a beautiful symphony of sounds, feelings and expressions.
A Dave Smith Prophet 12 and Rev 2 were used, as were a number of tape effects. These combined with acoustic bells, vibes and strings, give this piece flavour and depth.
I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
